Tests
Quizzes, worksheets & exams
Tests allow you to quickly create tasks; a quick quiz or a complex worksheet. Auralia® and Musition® include hundreds of pre-built tasks, all ready to assign to your students, and easily customisable.
What is a test?
A test is simply a sequence of questions, using question banks or randomly selected questions, and are used in many ways.
- Worksheets
- Quizzes
- Placement exams
- Assessments
- Exams
Students receive one attempt at each question, but can optionally attempt the test as many times as you allow. Question feedback can be disabled and scores are kept for all attempts, great for monitoring progress. We also integrate seamlessly with Canvas, Blackbarod, Moodle & D2L - all results automatically flow back to your gradebook.

How are they used?
Many instructors set their students at least one worksheet or quiz each week, giving them complete control over the topics and questions that students will work with. Pre-built tests are provided for many curriculum, and you can easily customise these if required!
- Fundamentals
- Theory I - IV
- Jazz & Pop
- AP Music Theory
Almost any item of content can be included; questions may come from any syllabus and topic, or, directly from the library. All tests scores are stored separately and tests can be taken multiple times if required.
Assigning Tests
Similar to syllabi and courses, tests are assigned to classes - groups of students. A single test can be assigned to as many classes as needed, and there is no limit to the number of tests that a class can have assigned!
Students will find their assigned tests in their ‘Task’ list, with priority tasks (ie tasks that have a start/end date/time) highlighted for them.
Viewing Results
Quickly and easily find results via a student's account, or open a report and see a summary of all students who have taken a test. Reports allows you to sort results quickly and easily.
If necessary you can examine the student response to every single question, giving you invaluable insight into their abilities.

Creating & Customizing
Most teachers like to create their own assignments, ensuring that content is nicely aligned with their course structure and materials. Content can be included from any syllabus, topic and level; even syllabi that you have created yourself.
You can also use any of the 20,000+ provided library questions directly in your tests. Importantly, the library also allows you to include your own images, audio, notation and YouTube links in your custom questions. Library questions are extremely flexible, from simple multiple choice through to notation based composition tasks.
