Google SSO - Setup & Getting Started

Setup
To get started using Auralia and Musition with Google SSO (Google Workspace), please email [email protected] to request integration and send us the domain(s) used by your school's workspace. Please check student and staff email addresses - there may be separate domains for each, for example:
How to Log In
Once we have confirmed integration is complete, open the site and select the Login with Google button and enter your Google email ([email protected])
This will take you to the Sign in with Google page, select your account and then continue as required.
Account Creation
Users will be automatically created on login with student access to Auralia and Musition. New teachers will need to have their access upgraded to Teacher or Administrator by an existing administrator user, or contact us for assistance.
Migration
If migrating from an existing Auralia Musition service:
- Existing student accounts will be matched by email address on first login and linked.
- Login with existing username/password is not supported.
User Permissions
It is recommended that IT provides permissions to prevent students and teachers having to check acceptance boxes when they login to Auralia & Musition.
IT staff should follow the procedure below from within their Google Admin Console.
- Under Security > Access and data control > API Controls, choose MANAGE DOMAIN WIDE DELEGATION
- In Domain wide delegation, select Add new
- Add the text below, then select AUTHORIZE

OAuth Scopes: openid, email, profile
If you wish to limit access to Auralia Musition, you can limit access to the app in the Google admin console using the above client ID and selecting limited access.
